Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pasta Zola was amazing! It was mine and my husbands first time eating there and we'll definitely be going back! The Rosa sauce was delicious, one of my favorites. My husband loved it as well and stated "this is the best pasta I've had in a long time." I love the variety and the way it's set up where you can pick and choose what you want from what type of noodles, sauce, and extras like meat or veggies. My only concern was the young girls working behind the counter. A couple of them weren't the friendliest and need to work on their manners. Other than that I would definitely recommend this place to others!

Love the concept. It's like a pasta lab. You order your pasta, then you pick your sauce, and then your meat. You can add other ingredients as you please. You can even make it a combo if you want bread and a drink. The service is super fast and fresh! It's located in the Eden Prairie Mall food court. Park by the kohls location and it will get you in there faster if you just want to stop and pick up.

Excelent!! amazing tortellinis! It kicks noodles and company's rear end anytime!!! I tried pretty much every combination and loved them all

Pasta Zola is one of VERY few places I like to eat at in Eden Pairie and this is saying A LOT since we're talking about mall food here. The service here was very fast and the employees were very nice. I love the variety!

This place is great, as long as you remember that you are ordering food court pasta. You could easily get tastier pasta somewhere else, but not this quick and for the price. They have a number of really great options including creamy, red, and pesto sauces. Noodle choices include gluten free and whole wheat options, as well as cheese tortellini (yum!). If your not a pasta person, the soups and salads looked really good as well. The noodles were a little overcooked, but again, we're in a food court here!

Meh. A couple of places have closed since my last trip to Eden Prairie, so I ended up buying three kids meals from Zola today. The food was all pretty bad. Breadsticks all underdone and gooey. Mac and cheese super blah. Cheese tortellini "hurt my throat" said the five year old and I can't disagree. Like several other posters have mentioned, the staff is very friendly, but almost distractingly so. Too much weird small talk = my order got done wrong. Which they fixed right away, but still. And I'm not sure what adult likes to be called "darling" but it's definitely not me! I've only been here once, but honestly I would not give the pastas a second try. I will say the packaged salads looked worth a try and I do appreciate the locally owned part of this restaurant.

Disgusting. Tried the pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken. The thick, pasty sauce, grayish in color, was inedible. Every piece of pasta was drenched with the gelatin like sauce. That was returned and exchanged for the Mac-n-cheese. This time, I asked the employee to go light on the sauce. After a few overcooked, soggy, disgusting bites I gave up on that. The chicken was rubbery, and tasted old, not cold, I mean old. The cheese sauce was like nothing I've eaten before, in a bad way. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll stick with Noodles and Company.

It is a great place to get a quick bite to eat. I love the staff and how great they are. Every once and awhile the owners will be present and are just the nicest people. Great food at a great price.

Kind of a let down...I was thinking it was going to be something somewhat similar to Noodles and Company, but it was a poor attempt. I had just basic mac and cheese because I figured it couldn't be too bad, but I was wrong. It was bland overall and the sauce only covered the first 1/3 of my pasta, so the rest of the sauces seeped through the cracks of the noodles. About 5 bites into my pasta I realized that 1) I should've spent my money on a different food place in the mall and 2) I could've made this at home and it would've been a lot better.

It's a crappy version of Noodles and Co. It's just as pricey and the food was pretty fast food tasting. If I had to eat at the mall then I'd maybe grab this because it's better than other options but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. They also up-charge for gluten free noodles but what place doesn't nowadays?

My partner is obsessed with this place. "Why isn't Pasta Zola a chain?" is asked as frequently as "Why doesn't Pasta Zola deliver?" in our house. And you know what? He's right. With good food that is like an Italian choose-your-own adventure, why is this a single location? My favorite choice - the tortellini with the pesto alfredo in a small size - is definitely enough to fill me up. Service is usually pretty quick. This place is basically an Italian version of a Chipotle, and is a quality meal for a decent price.

YUM Rose sauce is excellent. Good customer service. Quick turnaround time. I like it better than some of the noodles offerings. Certainly more food for your money! But the quality does not suffer! I eat here every other time I am in EP.

I'm surprised to see that Pasta Zola had yet to earn a spot on Yelp! Yes, its a little out of the way for many, in the food court at the Eden Prairie mall, but still.... its sooooo good :) Step one: pick your pasta Step two: pick your sauce Step three: pick meat or veggies See how easy that is? Bonus is that you get a punch card for your 5th (or maybe 6th?) meal free. All of their pastas are a heck of a lot better than Noodles, and Zola just so happens to be super convenient for me to drop in anytime I don't feel like cooking. For a mall establishment, and fast food at that, the staff are super fun and friendly every time I go there - its a family owned and operated place, and you can tell that the people there are actually invested in the success of their business, unlike the high school kids at your local McDonald's who couldn't care less about what you ordered. The employees are always talkative and helpful. Oooo, and also, the breadsticks are very tasty :) Check it out!

I decided to go there today for lunch. There is nothing more I can ask for. The Staff was very friendly. I even got to meet the owner. Since it was my first time, They walked me through the whole process, Obviously its not hard, but I wanted to know what went well together. My Food was ready before my GF was even done ordering hers! Highly recommended.

How is it that there is only one Pasta Zola??? And why is that one spot in an out-of-the-way mall food court in Eden Prairie?! I was at this mall to visit iDoctor to get my phone fixed and stumbled across PZ. I frickin' loved my noodles and I love that mixing marinara and Alfredo is on the menu and didn't require me to buy an extra container of sauce. The cashier was super friendly and nice and not in the fake I-hate-you-but-my-boss-is-here way either. Pasta Zola could put Noodles and Co out of business, if only there were more locations! I live on the east side, way on the east side, and now I have to come up with reasons to brave 494 and make the trek over to EP to fill up on delicious comforting carbs.

Love the build your own pasta concept, it's good stuff! You can customize it however you want. I go out of my way to make it to the food court even if I'm not in the mall.
